Public speaking strategies and techniques for career success

Every year a new survey comes out ranking people’s top phobias and the fears of public speaking (Glossophobia : the scientific term for fear of public speaking) always ranks at the top. It is believed that up to 75% of the population fear public speaking.

Besides, being knowledgeable in your field, the ability to effectively communicate is now considered a must-have for career success. If you want to advance your career and move to the top, you have to be able to effectively communicate your knowledge, ideas and recommendations in an interesting, informative and captivating manner. As a graduate seeking for a job you have to be able to communicate the value that you will bring to the company. Thus, public speaking is a skill that you have to develop, because your career success depends largely upon it. After all, communication skills are crucial in the workplace and you cannot avoid professional interaction while at work.

About the speaker:

Roland Ngole is a multiple award winning International speaker, Author, Part-Time University Lecturer and Founder of Achievethevision Academy. He has inspired and positively impacted audiences at diverse events with his speeches both in Germany and abroad. Roland has spoken at more than 20 Universities. He has been featured in diverse Media and TV stations (Hamburg 1, Hauptstadt TV and MittelRhein TV). He is a holder of a Bachelor's degree in International Business administration and a master's degree in Supply Chain Management. He gained work experience in 8 German International companies working in cross functional teams. Roland is mission is to help people and companies to maximize their vision, so that they can attain their highest success and maximize their potential. Roland won the international speaker slam competition (held in German) twice in July 2021 & April 2022 in Mastershausen- Germany. As a result he was awarded the “winner awards” , the “excellence award” & the "Platin Award"
