After a short theoretical introduction, you will work with an example from your own research project, which you are asked to bring to the workshop. You will formulate a meaningful core message, which you will then visualize in a creative way, for instance, in the form of a chart for presentation or as a cover page for a project application for third-party funding. The results of your individual work and the steps that you took will be discussed in the group, and you will benefit from constructive feedback.
The workshop is not about learning any specific presentation software, but about using design elements in a purposeful manner and presenting a research project in a comprehensible, compact, and visually appealing way.
Qualification Outcomes
After the workshop, you will be able to
- Use basic design rules and apply them intentionally (fonts, images, color).
- Explain basic design principles.
- Create eyecatchers.
- Illustrate different ways to visualize complex content.
- Assess the strength of your visualization and know how to optimize it.
- Visualize your research topic confidently.
- Apply the acquired visualization skills to enhance your success in acquiring third-party funding.
Methods
Trainer input, trainer feedback, practical exercises
