HeFDI Code School for sustainable research software, April – July

The courses are free of charge and are held in English!

Do you want to learn how to write scientific software or increase your code quality?

The HeFDI Code School offers a series of workshops addressing the need of especially early career researchers on learning how to create good scientific software and increase the quality of their code for better reusability and sustainability.

This summer semester we are offering two tracks: A Basic Track for beginners with three online workshops and an Advanced Summer School for experienced developers as a hybrid event in Kassel.

Basic Track (online)

All workshops are free-of-charge.

Our Code School basics are a set of three online workshops in cooperation with [NFDI4Earth](https://www.nfdi4earth.de/). We offer a general introduction into basic programming and data science skills, i.e. programming basics with Python language and plotting.

Advanced Track: Summer School July 2nd - 4th (on-site in Kassel)

In cooperation with the colleagues from [Suresoft project](https://www.tu-braunschweig.de/suresoft) and [NFDI4Ing](https://nfdi4ing.de/) we offer a 3-day summer school in Kassel. Additionally, this event will be streamed online.

In this event you will learn

  • methods and techniques to increase the quality of your code,
  • how to produce understandable and therefore reusable code,
  • and to increase the sustainability of scientific software.
