This further qualification programme provides practical knowledge about the development and expansion of the various professional perspectives in the field of moving image. Alumni of the Graduate School for Moving Images (GBB) are invited as experts to share their knowledge about the paths into their respective professional fields. Based on specific projects and individual careers, they will provide information on how to successfully organise professional development after a postgraduate degree. The further qualification programme is planned as a two-day event. Based on their own projects, such as a documentary short film, an animation series or the founding of a games studio, the experts will present their experiences since graduating from GBB in a 60-minute lecture followed by a 30-minute discussion and develop concrete recommendations for entering the various professional fields or further professional development as artists, filmmakers and game designers. The topics covered will include freelancing, admission to the artists' social security fund, commissioned work and research, applying for academic positions and various funding opportunities. The discussion formats provide a space for questions, dialogue and reflection.
The event is aimed at master students of the Kunsthochschule, in particular participants of the Graduate School for Moving Images at the Kunsthochschule.
