Leading others is both a privilege and an art that can be learned and perfected. In an academic context, it is also often an additional task that is becoming increasingly important and must be performed alongside the core business of research and teaching. This is an enormous challenge, especially for junior professors or first-time professors. In order to meet this challenge with confidence and efficiency, this workshop offers theoretical leadership models and practical exercises. Eine der größten Herausforderungen für Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler ist die Einwerbung von Drittmitteln: Von der Idee zum erfolgreichen Forschungsprojekt – diesen Weg begleitet EMF und ermöglicht somit ein umfassendes Fortbildungsangebot. Die Informationsveranstaltung erläutert die Ziele sowie den Ablauf des Programms und stellt die fünf Module Projektentwicklung und Projektbeantragung, Projektmanagement, Präsentation von Ergebnissen, Tagungsorganisation und Transfer vor.

Die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft ist die größte forschungsfördernde Institution in Deutschland. Sie hat 2023 31.750 Projekte aus der Forschungs- und Infrastrukturförderung mit insgesamt mehr als 3,9 Milliarden Euro gefördert. Im Normalverfahren kann jede Wissenschaftlerin und jeder Wissenschaftler mit einer abgeschlossenen wissenschaftlichen Ausbildung zu jedem Zeitpunkt und zu jedem Thema die Förderung von Forschungsprojekten bei der DFG beantragen. Mit dem Modul Eigene Stelle können Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler für die Dauer eines wissenschaftlichen Projektes Mittel zur Finanzierung ihrer Stelle zur eigenständigen Durchführung eines Forschungsprojektes einwerben. Für promovierte Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen und Nachwuchswissenschaftler bestehen besondere Förderungen, wie das Emmy Noether-Programm oder die Förderung von Wissenschaftlichen Netzwerken. DFG-Vertrauensdozent Prof. Dr. Backes informiert über das DFG-Antragsverfahren und gibt Hilfestellungen für konkrete Antragsvorhaben.
